Supporting Tennis in Decatur Since 1985

The Decatur Community Tennis Foundation was founded in 1985 and its mission is to support community tennis in the Decatur, Illinois area. From 1999-2023, the organization ran the USTA/Ursula Beck Pro Tennis Classic which featured professional male players competing for ATP ranking points and $25,000 in prize money. The proceeds from this tournament and other donations enabled the organization to financially support all facets of tennis in the Decatur area. Juniors, adults, schools as well as our public tennis facility were benefactors of our 501 (c) 3 organization.

Keri Roth, formerly Robison, grew up playing tennis on the courts at Fairview Park in Decatur, IL. Her father, Dave Robison introduced her to the game at a young age into a lifelong love for the sport. Her mother, Kelly drove her to endless tennis tournaments around the country and she went on to play collegiate tennis for Northwestern University. Learning from Decatur tennis professional Chuck Kuhle, and eventually from Jack Sharpe, the tennis courts at Decatur acted as a springboard for much of her life. Keri and her husband Connor, now reside in the Lincoln Park neighborhood in Chicago where they have two daughters,
